    Hear the story of the Gilbert Family Captivity from a descendant. Benjamin Gilbert and his extended family were taken captive by a troop of native people in the spring of 1780 from their frontier home near what is now Lehighton, PA. Their intent was to adopt the youth into native families that had fled Sullivan's Campaign in 1779.
